MARTINTOWN

Located north-east of Cornwall, Martintown was first named MacMartin Mills after prominent local entrepreneur Lieutenant Malcolm MacMartin. With its location on the banks of the Raisin River, Martintown hosts Ontario's longest canoe race.

The earlier existence of a cheese factory led to the increased presence of dairy farming within this area.
