12 Days of Christmas Giveaways

The Township of South Glengarry is dedicated to supporting local small businesses during the holiday season by encouraging residents to spend close to home.

From December 1 to 12, the Township will host the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaways event, in which one winner per day will receive a $50 gift certificate to incentivize shopping locally. To participate, residents can post a selfie of their retail purchase or restaurant meal, tag the Township, and use the hashtag #SUPPORTLOCALSG to automatically enter the daily draw. Winners will be announced the following business day on social media (Facebook and Instagram) by 10:00 a.m. 

Additionally, the Township will release an electronic Christmas Gift Guide featuring local retailers to provide residents with great gift ideas conveniently located nearby.

Plaid Friday Event

Each holiday shopping season the Township of South Glengarry organizes a shop local Christmas campaign to promote our retailers and encourage shopping close to home. We publish a gift guide showcasing each retailer with gift-giving suggestions and offer prizes and incentives during a shop local weekend event.

Business Launches

The Township of South Glengarry is proud to support new businesses by promoting your launch events and inviting local dignitaries to a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the happy occasion. Please let us know how we can help publicize your new business opening.
