Emergency Preparedness Week - “Are You Ready?”
South Glengarry, ON – Since 1996, communities across Canada have recognized Emergency Preparedness (EP) Week—a national campaign that encourages individuals and families to be ready before emergencies happen. This year’s EP Week runs from May 5 to 11,2025 with the theme: “Plan for every season” It’s a reminder that everyone has a role to play in being prepared. Are you ready to act when it counts?
Three steps to be ready for any emergency:
1. Know the risks
Understand the hazards in South Glengarry—weather events, power outages, floods. Awareness helps you prepare.
2. Make a plan
Everyone in your household should know what to do before, during, and after an emergency.
3. Get a kit
Don’t wait. Build an emergency kit with food, water, and essentials. Be ready to take care of yourself and your family for at least 72 hours.

Emergency Preparedness Week (Sunday, May 4th to Saturday, May 10th, 2025)
