Notice of Public Meeting - Community Improvement Plan
TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Township of South Glengarry will hold a public meeting on the 18th day of July, 2018 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building at 6 Oak Street, Lancaster to consider a proposed Community Improvement Plan under Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter P. 13, as amended.
PURPOSE
The purpose of the public meeting is to hear comments on the proposed Community Improvement Plan (CIP) for the Township of South Glengarry to encourage the rehabilitation and improvement of private lands and buildings and to promote revitalization throughout the Township. The Community Improvement Plan provides eligible properties financial incentives to improve the appearance of their lands and buildings in accordance with guidelines contained in the CIP and adopted by Council. Financial incentives may be in the form of grants and/or loans as made available through the Community Improvement Plan.
Key Maps are not attached as the CIP will be available for eligible properties throughout the Township of South Glengarry.

This Public Meeting provides you an opportunity to express your views, either verbally or as a written submission to the Township of South Glengarry. To provide comments in writing, please submit a letter to the Clerk, P.O. Box 120, 6 Oak Street, Lancaster, ON K0C 1N0 or by email to kelli@southglengarry.com prior to July 27, 2018.
ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support of or in opposition to the proposed Community Improvement Plan. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at the public meeting, or make written submissions to the Township of South Glengarry before the plan is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision of the Council of the Township of South Glengarry to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal (LPAT) and the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the LPAT unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the Community Improvement Plan is available between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday at the Township office.
