It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Township of South Glengarry has lost a longtime Volunteer Firefighter and retired employee. John Hugh Munro passed away unexpectedly on September 19, 2018. John Hugh has been a Volunteer Firefighter with the South Glengarry Fire Service for 34 years out of the Williamstown Station. Willis Kerr Contracting has been contracted by the Township of South Glengarry to complete the rehabilitation of the Third Line Road Bridge.  The Bridge is located on Third Line Road, approximately 1 km north of Bainsville and 100 m north of Concession Road 2.  The Bridge will be closed to all traffic for the duration of the work which is scheduled to take place until October 31st. Please be advised that County Road 23 will be closed to all traffic on Thursday, August 30th, 2018 from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
