Building Permits

The Township offers two ways to apply for a building permit.

Online
Apply through Cloudpermit. This is the fastest and easiest way to submit and track your application.

In Person
Download and complete the fillable PDF Building Permit Application. Submit the completed form and supporting documents at the Township Office with the applicable fee.

Before submitting your application, ensure all required forms and supporting documents related to your project are included. Complete applications help staff review and approve permits more quickly.

Under the direction of the Chief Building Official, the Township issues building permits in accordance with the Ontario Building Code and the Township’s Building By-law. Permits help ensure construction meets health, fire, structural, and safety standards.

Construction cannot begin without a building permit. Starting work without a permit violates the Ontario Building Code and the Township’s Building By-law and may result in fines or other penalties.
