Accessibility Report

The Township of South Glengarry prepares a Post-Election Accessibility Report following each regular municipal election. This report reviews the accessibility of the electoral services provided to all electors and candidates during the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.

Under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the Municipal Clerk is responsible for administering Municipal and School Board Elections. This includes establishing policies and procedures that allow all eligible voters to participate fully in the election process. The Clerk must consider the needs of electors and candidates with disabilities and ensure that all voting locations are accessible.

Within 90 days after a regular election, the Clerk is required to prepare a report outlining the identification, removal, and prevention of barriers that may have affected electors and candidates with disabilities. The report also explains how accessibility measures supported participation throughout the election. The completed report is made available to the public.

Candidates’ Financial Disclosure

In accordance with section 88.25 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, every candidate must file a financial statement and, if required, an auditor’s report using the prescribed Form 4. These documents must be submitted to the Clerk with whom the nomination was filed by the legislated deadline.

Third-Party Advertiser Financial Disclosure

Registered Third Party Advertisers are required, under section 88.29 of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, to file a financial statement and, if required, an auditor’s report with the Clerk by the legislated deadline.
