Char-Lan Recreation Centre Capital Project Update

Progress continues on the capital improvements at the Char-Lan Recreation Centre.

The arena roof replacement has reached a major milestone: the existing roof has been removed, and the new interior roof-liner panels have been installed.

Based on the current construction schedule, the arena is expected to reopen for rentals on Monday, November 16, 2026.

We sincerely thank our user groups, organizers and residents for their continued patience while this important project is completed. Our priority is to return user groups to the facility as soon as it is safe and ready for public use, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to their home arena.

Public skating program dates have been updated to reflect the revised reopening date. Visit southglengarry.com/skating for current program information.

Please note that construction timelines are subject to change.
