Emergency Preparedness Week Begins Next Week

Next week is Emergency Preparedness Week, a national awareness initiative that encourages residents to take simple steps to become better prepared for emergencies.

This year’s theme is Prepared Together, highlighting the importance of working together as households, neighbours, and communities to stay safe during emergencies.

Throughout the week, the Township of South Glengarry will be sharing daily preparedness tips and resources to help residents:

• Understand local risks
• Make an emergency plan
• Build an emergency kit
• Stay informed during emergencies
• Practice emergency preparedness at home
