Half-Masting of the Canadian Flag in Honour of Tumbler Ridge Victims

The Canadian flag at the Township of South Glengarry Municipal Office/Recreation Centre has been lowered to half-mast until Tuesday, February 17 in honour of the victims of the tragic mass shooting in Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia. The incident claimed ten lives, including the shooter, and left at least 25 others injured.

Lowering the flag is a mark of respect for the lives lost and a reflection of the Township’s solidarity with the community of Tumbler Ridge and all those impacted by this devastating event. We extends our sincere condolences to the families, friends, and communities mourning during this difficult time.
