Notice of Public Hearing - A-08-2026

TAKE NOTICE that an application has been made by Natalie Corneau and George Fakotakis, for a minor variance from the provisions of Zoning By-law 38-09 of the Township of South Glengarry, as amended, for the property legally described as Lot 7 on Plan 26 in the geographic Village of Lancaster, now in the Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry, located at 23 Front Street for the following reasons:

PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:

The owner proposes to construct a covered deck attached to the front of the existing single detached dwelling. The proposed deck will encroach into the required front yard.

The following relief from the Zoning By-law is requested:

Part 6.2 - to reduce the required front yard setback for a covered deck from 6 metres to 3.2 metres to the southeast corner of the deck and 3.3 metres to the southwest corner of the deck.

The Committee of Adjustment will hold a public meeting on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 6:00 pm for the purpose of a public hearing on this matter, to be held in Council Chambers located at Tartan Hall, Char-Lan Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown.
