TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South
Glengarry will hold a public meeting on the 12th day of January, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers located at the Tartan Hall, Char Lan Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown, to
consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to the Municipality’s Zoning By-law under Section 34 of
the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for the property legally described as Part of Lot 8,
Concession 1, being Part 1 on RP 14R2996 in the Geographic Township of Lancaster now in the
Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry, located at 21899 Old Highway 2.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
This is an amendment to Zoning By-law 38-09, which is the zoning by-law of the Township of South
Glengarry. The purpose of this Amendment is to rezone the subject property from Highway Commercial
(CH) to Light Industrial (ML) to allow existing industrial uses to be permitted on the subject property (see
complete list of Light Industrial (ML) permitted uses). There are no new buildings, structures, or uses
being proposed for the subject property at this time. The property measures approximately 3.0 hectares
(7.4ac) in size. All other applicable provisions of Zoning By-law 38-09, as amended, shall continue to apply.
