Revised Notice of Public Meeting

TAKE NOTICE that an application has been made by Francine Sabourin, agent - Lianne
MacDonald & Luc Sabourin, for a minor variance from the provisions of Zoning By-Law
38-09 of the Township of South Glengarry, as amended, (being a by-law respecting the
use of land and the use and location of buildings) for the property that is legally described
as Part of Lot 6, Concession 1 and Lot 53 on Registered Plan 133, being Part 1 on
Reference Plan 14R 3353, in the Geographic Township of Lancaster, now in the
Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry, located at 6274 164th Ave for the
following reasons:


THE PURPOSE AND EFFECT OF THE APPLICATION:
The applicant has constructed a dock that does not comply with section 3.39 (7) (G) of
Zoning By-Law 38-09. This section requires a dock to be located no closer than 4 meters
(13ft.) to the nearest adjacent lot line.


The following relief from the Zoning By-law 38-09 is requested:
To reduce the setback from the east adjacent lot line from 4 meters to 1.8 meters to the
existing dock and to reduce the setback from the west adjacent lot line from 4 meters to
0 meters to the existing dock. (see attached sketch).


ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the application is available for inspection during
office hours at the Township of South Glengarry Office, located at 6 Oak Street,
Lancaster, ON.


FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the Committee of Adjustment will hold a public meeting
on Monday, March 9th, 2026 at 5:30 pm for the purpose of a public hearing into this
matter, to be held in the Council Chambers located at the Tartan Hall, Char Lan
Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown.
FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the subject is not the subject of an application under the
Planning Act.
