Roadside Spraying Program – What You Need to Know

The Township of South Glengarry advises residents that roadside spraying will take place throughout the municipality beginning in May 2026 and continuing through mid-June, weather permitting.

This annual program helps control noxious weeds along municipal roadsides that may impact agriculture and surrounding lands.

Program Details

• Spraying targets specific roadside areas only
• Work is completed by licensed professionals using approved herbicides
• Treatment typically occurs from the road edge to approximately 1 metre from the property line

Want to Opt Out?

Property owners who do not wish to have spraying occur in front of their property may opt out by installing clearly visible “No Spray” signs at the start and end of their property frontage.

Residents are responsible for erecting their own signs and notifying the Counties as required.
