Township of South Glengarry Welcomes Glengarry Pools and Spas

South Glengarry, ON – May 15, 2026 – The Township of South Glengarry officially welcomed Glengarry Pools and Spas to the community today with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the company’s location at 181 Military Road in Lancaster.

MPP Nolan Quinn, Mayor Lachlan McDonald, Deputy Mayor Martin Lang, and Economic Development Officer Jennifer Treverton joined owner Mike Bedard to celebrate the opening of the family-run business, which will serve customers throughout South Glengarry and surrounding areas.

Following the ceremony, MPP Quinn and Mayor McDonald presented Mr. Bedard with congratulatory certificates recognizing the business opening and investment in the local economy. Although unable to attend, MP Eric Duncan sent his regrets and a congratulatory certificate, which was presented during the ceremony.

“South Glengarry is proud to welcome Glengarry Pools and Spas to our business community,” said Mayor Lachlan McDonald. “Family-owned businesses play an important role in strengthening our local economy, and we are pleased to see continued investment and services growing in Lancaster.”

“We felt the Glengarry market had strong potential because we already have several clients in the area,” said Mr. Bedard. “Opening a storefront in Lancaster just made good sense.”  

The business will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, May 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring a BBQ and prizes. Residents are invited to stop by, meet the team, and learn more about the services offered.
