Recreation Opportunities for Adults & Seniors

The Township of South Glengarry is a welcoming, age-friendly community. We are dedicated to supporting the involvement and healthy active lifestyles of seniors in our community. Below you will find a list of some of the services available to seniors in our community.

Pickleball – 2026–2027 Season

Location: Char-Lan District High School Gymnasium

This free, drop-in pickleball program is open to participants of all ages.

Start Date: Monday, September 28, 2026
Time: Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Participants must bring their own paddle and balls.

 

Badminton 2026–2027 Season

Location: Char-Lan District High School Gymnasium

This free, drop-in badminton program is open to participants of all ages.

Start Date: Wednesday, September 30, 2026
Time: Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Participants must bring their own racquet and birdies.

Morning Pickleball

This free, drop-in pickleball program is open to participants of all ages.

Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Participants must bring their own paddle and balls.

Balance for Life

Location: Char-Lan Recreation Centre – Tartan Hall

Balance for Life is a group exercise program designed to help older adults improve their strength and balance. Classes are led by a certified instructor and offered in partnership with the Seaway Valley Community Health Centre.

Participants must be registered to attend.
