Chief Administrative Officer
The Township of South Glengarry is currently recruiting for a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). This recruitment follows the announcement that the Township’s current CAO will be moving on to a new role with the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry.
Reporting to the Mayor and Council, the CAO is responsible for overseeing the day to day administration of the Township through its senior management team. The position plays a key role in supporting Council, helping guide policy direction, and ensuring Council has the information needed to make informed decisions.
The Township is seeking a strong and collaborative leader who can work with Council, staff, partners, and the community to help position South Glengarry for continued success.
Key qualifications include:
• A university degree in a related field with a commitment to professional development
• At least eight years of senior executive experience in a municipal, public, or private sector organization
• Experience working with elected officials and mentoring staff
• Strong communication and relationship building skills with partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders
• Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset
