Notice of Public Meeting - ZBLW-03-2026

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Glengarry will hold a public meeting on the 9th day of March, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers located at the Tartan Hall, Char Lan Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown, to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to the Municipality’s Zoning By-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for the property legally described as Part of Lot 23, Concession 3 South of Raisin River, in the Geographic Township of Charlottenburgh, now in the Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry (PIN  ).

EXPLANATORY NOTE This is an amendment to Zoning By-law 38-09, which is the zoning by-law of the Township of South Glengarry. The purpose of this Amendment is to rezone the subject property from Agricultural – Exception Sixteen (AG-16) and Natural Hazard to Agricultural – Exception Forty (AG-40) and Natural Hazard to further reduce the minimum lot area from 7.87 hectares (19.45 acres) to 6.23 hectares (15.39 acres) and to continue prohibiting residential construction. All other applicable provisions of Zoning By-law 38-09, as amended, shall continue to apply.

 ANY PERSON may attend the public meeting and/or make written or verbal representation either in support   of or in opposition to the proposed Zoning By-law Amendment.
