TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Glengarry will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers located at the Tartan Hall, Char Lan Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown, to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to the Municipality’s Zoning By-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for the property legally described as Part of lot 24, Concession 6, in the Geographic Township of Lancaster, now in the Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry (PIN 671420058), located at 21127 County Rd 18 - Concession Rd 5, North Lancaster.

TAKE NOTICE that an application has been made by Michel Fontaine, for a minor variance from the provisions of Zoning By-Law 38-09 of the Township of South Glengarry, as amended, (being a by-law respecting the use of land and the use and location of buildings) for the property that is legally described as Part of lot 18, Concession 1 Front, in the Geographic Township of Charlottenburgh.

Please be advised that tree maintenance will take place at Glen Walter Park on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15.

During this time, some sections of the pathway will be temporarily closed for safety.

The United Counties of SDG intends to utilize Wagar and Corput Weed Control Inc. to control noxious weeds along guardrails and roadsides.

April 2, 2025 - Our popular curbside Leaf and Yard Waste Collection is set to start May 5 running until the end of the week of November 7. The weekly collections include leaves, grass, branches (sized and bundled appropriately), and other appropriately prepared garden waste.  Residents are reminded to use kraft paper yard waste bags or open-ended rigid containers when placing leaf and yard waste at their regular collection point.
