Large Item Collection is Coming
The Township’s Large Item Collection is taking place the week of May 25 on your regular collection day.
Now’s a good time to start setting items aside and planning ahead.
Before placing anything curbside, make sure to review what’s accepted and the collection guidelines.

TAKE NOTICE that an application has been made by Neil Shaver, agent - Torben Ruddock, EFI Engineering, for a minor variance from the provisions of Zoning By-Law 38-09 of the Township of South Glengarry, as amended, (being a by-law respecting the use of land and the use and location of buildings) for the property that is legally described as Part of Lot 13, Concession 2, Front, being Parts 4, and 5 on Reference Plan 14R1373; in the Geographic Township of Charlottenburgh, now in the Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry, located south of Hay Road (Pin 671240182) for the following reasons:

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of South Glengarry will hold a public meeting on Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the Council Chambers located at the Tartan Hall, Char Lan Recreation Centre, 19740 John Street, Williamstown, to consider a proposed Zoning By-law Amendment to the Municipality’s Zoning By-law under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for the property legally described as Part of lot 24, Concession 6, in the Geographic Township of Lancaster, now in the Township of South Glengarry, County of Glengarry (PIN 671420058), located at 21127 County Rd 18 - Concession Rd 5, North Lancaster.

Please be advised that tree maintenance will take place at Glen Walter Park on Wednesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 15.
During this time, some sections of the pathway will be temporarily closed for safety.
The United Counties of SDG intends to utilize Wagar and Corput Weed Control Inc. to control noxious weeds along guardrails and roadsides.
